About Vantage Point

Vantage Point is a premier behavioral health and trauma healing center that specializes in depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), addiction, phobias, grief and loss, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, self-harm and more. In addition to helping adults, Vantage Point also takes into consideration the unique struggles the LQBTQIA community has along with EMS professionals, police officers, and firefighters.
Vantage Point is aware that everyone has a unique inner story. They provide three outpatient programs: an intensive outpatient program (IOP), partial hospitalization (PHP), and a premier outpatient program, which is created for people who prefer to spend all of their time alone and may not function as well in a group environment. Each program establishes a foundation for clients using holistic and evidence-based therapies. As an illustration, in the program for treating depression, clients will work on cognitive techniques and sensory-driven modalities while receiving individual counseling and engaging group therapy. Peer socialization, psychiatric therapy sessions, and trauma-informed interventions like brainspotting, somatic therapy, and creative arts are all part of the PHP track. The most effective outpatient program is highly individualized and does not use group therapy. It makes use of specialized interventions like hypnotherapy, brainspotting, and emotional and mindfulness-based approaches.
Vantage Point is now offering an evening outpatient program for primary substance and alcohol dependence. Vantage Point works with Serenity Malibu to offer an up-scale sober living home for clients needing additional care after treatment. Vantage Point is committed to providing high-quality mental health care that meets the needs of diverse clients. Vantage Point is accredited by The Joint Commission and accepts most private insurance.

Evidence-Based Context: According to SAMHSA's National Survey on Drug Use and Health (2023), approximately 48.7 million Americans aged 12 or older had a substance use disorder in the past year. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) emphasizes that treatment programs combining behavioral therapy with medication-assisted approaches show the highest rates of sustained recovery. Facilities like Vantage Point provide structured pathways to evidence-based care. Sources: SAMHSA NSDUH 2023, NIDA Principles of Drug Addiction Treatment (4th Ed.)

Understanding Your Treatment Options

Choosing the right treatment facility is one of the most important decisions in the recovery journey. Research published by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) shows that treatment duration, therapeutic approach, and aftercare planning are the three strongest predictors of long-term sobriety.

Vantage Point offers 2 distinct levels of care, allowing patients to step through treatment intensities as they progress. This continuum-of-care model — moving from higher to lower intensity — is recommended by SAMHSA as the gold standard for addiction treatment.

The facility utilizes 9 evidence-based therapeutic modalities. According to NIDA research, combination therapy approaches that integrate behavioral interventions (such as 1-on-1 Counseling and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) with holistic support show significantly improved outcomes compared to single-modality programs.

Under the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, most commercial insurance plans are required to cover substance abuse treatment. Vantage Point works with 24 insurance providers. Call (833) 567-5838 to verify your specific coverage and learn about out-of-pocket costs before admission.
