RICARES (Rhode Island Communities for Addiction Recovery Efforts) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by substance use disorders. Their mission is to advance addiction recovery in Rhode Island through advocacy, community engagement, and service, envisioning vibrant and diverse recovery communities that champion Rhode Islanders from any background at every stage of their unique recovery pathways. RICARES offers a range of services aimed at promoting recovery and reducing the stigma surrounding substance use disorders. Their programs include peer support groups, educational workshops, advocacy efforts, and community outreach initiatives. Additionally, RICARES encourages the research, development, and delivery of exemplary peer-based and other recovery support services, fostering the development and accessibility of community-based recovery capital.
