Set in Greenville near the Route 264 and I-587 clover loop ECU Health Behavioral Health Hospital is a 144-bed facility that treats clients of all ages with mental health disorders, as well as any co-occurring substance use disorders. This hospital is a joint venture between the non-profit ECU Health system, which performs general medical services in eastern North Carolina, and the for-profit Acadia Healthcare, which performs behavioral health services across the U.S. The behavioral health hospital operates inpatient care around the clock and multiple levels of outpatient care to support clients' needs. Patients receive individual therapy, group therapy, medication management, skill building, and planning for life after discharge to ensure long-term recovery. They can access care notes during and after treatment with the MyChart patient portal app. ECU Health Behavioral Health Hospital has specialized, age-appropriate programs for children, teens, adults, and older adults. Clients of different ages receive treatment in different units of the hospital.
