Freedom House is a 9-12 month long-term residential program for women in Greensboro, North Carolina. This Christian-based program offers a faith-based approach to addiction treatment, incorporating the 12-Steps, nutrition counseling, life skills training, vocational training, and family counseling in their treatment program. The program specifically caters to women with children, allowing a mother to bring up to 2 children under the age of 11 to live with her. Residents are expected to meet with their counselors, follow their nutrition plan, adhere to the daily schedule, and attend their employment training program while participating in the program. There are 3 houses that can house up to 6 women each across the Greensboro area. Freedom House is a free program, with the exception of a small application fee.
