Focus

This center treats mental health conditions and co-occurring substance use. You receive collaborative, individualized treatment that addresses both issues for whole-person healing.

The Community Research Foundation's IMPACT program, located in San Diego's Linda Vista neighborhood, offers intensive mobile behavioral health and supportive housing services to adults aged 18-59 experiencing serious mental illness and homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Implementing the evidence-based Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) model, the program offers services including psychiatric care, medication management, substance use treatment, nursing, psychosocial rehabilitation, housing assistance, benefits coordination, and support with daily living activities. IMPACT delivers over 75% of services directly in the community, helping ensure accessibility and immediate support. Notably, all clients are provided housing within the first week of enrollment, addressing a critical need promptly. Funded by the County of San Diego's Behavioral Health Services, IMPACT accepts Medi-Cal beneficiaries, Medi-Cal eligible individuals, Medicare recipients, and the uninsured, ensuring that no one is denied services based on inability to pay.
