Angel's House of Healing

Program Length

30 days

Focus

This center primarily treats substance use disorders, helping you stabilize, create relapse-prevention plans, and connect to compassionate support.

Set in La Crescent, MN, Angel’s House of Healing serves as a sober living home for women 18 to 55 who want to break free from addiction and build a healthier future. It admits women probation or transitioning from treatment who commit to a drug-free lifestyle. Angel's House is a structured, caring community where residents attend off-site recovery meetings, learn financial and career skills, develop wellness routines, take drug tests, and support each other. Angel's House of Healing takes a holistic approach to their recovery community, attempting to heal the mind, body, and spirit so every woman sees herself as whole and worthy. Residents should leave the program feeling empowered financially, emotionally, and mentally. At the beginning of the program, residents complete a 7-day blackout to begin healing and break from harmful habits. Clients can leave only for job interviews, work, and approved doctor or therapist visits. Angel's House of Healing has house rules in place to establish safety and accountability. Residents agree to these rules during the admission application. The rules include a structured schedule where residents attend off-site recovery meetings and on-site group coaching. Additionally, residents follow an 11 p.m. curfew and quiet hours, and they respect other residents' property and space. Every day, women at Angel’s House engage in work, study, exercise, chores, and outpatient recovery programs. The home provides a safe, furnished space with shared or private rooms. The back patio of the home is available for socializing. The only visitors allowed are case workers, social workers, and probation officers. Amber, the founder of Angel’s House of Healing, overcame her own addiction and rebuilt her life through community support during treatment. Based on her experiences, Amber attempts to pass on hope and guidance to other women. She named the house after her mom, Angel.
