Focus

This center primarily treats substance use disorders, helping you stabilize, create relapse-prevention plans, and connect to compassionate support.

Set on the south side of Los Angeles, Transformations Care treats substance use and mental health disorders with the philosophy that "we won't BS you." Their facility offers a full range of care, including detox, residential stays, several levels of outpatient care, and after care planning. Detox lasts about 5 days, residential treatment lasts about 30 days, and their outpatient treatments last about 60 to 90 days. In the outpatient programs, day treatment runs for a full day of sessions, intensive outpatient (IOP) care runs for a half day of sessions, and outpatient care includes brief check-ins with a counselor. Transformations Care's team addresses both the physical and psychological factors of addiction and mental health disorders. Their counselors provide individual and group therapy, using the evidence-based methods of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). They facilitate the 12 Steps of Recovery in their therapies. Additionally, they use experiential therapies like music therapy, art therapy, trauma therapy, animal therapy, fellowship-building exercises, and group meals. After clients complete their experience at Transformations Care, they have access to alumni events so they can encourage fellow recoverees and receive continued support on their recovery journey.
