About The Place Retreats

Located in Seminyak, on the west coast of Bali, The Place Retreats is a private sanctuary, a hidden oasis where guests come to Recover, Revive and Renew themselves. Upon entering the lush island retreat centre, you will be supported, guided and nurtured by expert practitioners of psychotherapy, meditation, yoga and bodywork.
Since opening in 2015, The Place Retreats has earned a reputation for excellence of service and clinical success stories.
The approach of The Place Retreats is heavily focussed on the connection between the Heart and the Mind. When this connection is lost or strained, people can become lost, anxious, depressed, or even numb. By uniting the heart and mind we open up powerful pathways to healing, recovery and the formation of new, healthy beliefs, patterns and habits.
We achieve this through an intensive combination of psychotherapy, daily Kundalini & meditation, weekly Yin Yoga, hypnotherapy and wellness treatments such as cranio-sacral therapy, acupuncture and massage.
You will learn physical, emotional and psychological techniques that will help you to help yourself, so that you can start afresh, completely renewed, becoming the person you were meant to be.
The true power behind the therapeutic programme of The Place Retreats lies in treating the root causes of mental and emotional suffering. Each of us carries within us our past traumas that lead to things like anxiety, depression, eating disorders, stress, emptiness and the variety of ways we numb ourselves to this pain.
At The Place, we have created a safe and compassionate environment where it is possible for the individual to look back on their traumas, to deconstruct them from a position of strength, and ultimately come to terms and let them go.
You will be totally free of all responsibilities. Meals, transport and activities are all catered for by our staff, giving you the time and space that you need to focus on yourself being able to let go of the stressful everyday life, finding true guidance for new directions.
In our multidisciplinary team we work to combat:
Our practice is non-judgmental, collaborative, affirmative and open to all genders, races, sexual orientations, religions and beliefs.

Understanding Your Treatment Options

Choosing the right treatment facility is one of the most important decisions in the recovery journey. Research published by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) shows that treatment duration, therapeutic approach, and aftercare planning are the three strongest predictors of long-term sobriety.

The Place Retreats offers 2 distinct levels of care, allowing patients to step through treatment intensities as they progress. This continuum-of-care model — moving from higher to lower intensity — is recommended by SAMHSA as the gold standard for addiction treatment.

The facility utilizes 9 evidence-based therapeutic modalities. According to NIDA research, combination therapy approaches that integrate behavioral interventions (such as 1-on-1 Counseling and Group Therapy) with holistic support show significantly improved outcomes compared to single-modality programs.

Under the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, most commercial insurance plans are required to cover substance abuse treatment. The Place Retreats works with 24 insurance providers. Call (833) 567-5838 to verify your specific coverage and learn about out-of-pocket costs before admission.
