The Healing Place is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing recovery services for adults struggling with addiction. Initially founded as a homeless shelter and medical clinic for men, it has evolved into a nationally recognized recovery center serving nearly 1,000 men and women daily at no cost to clients. The organization operates on a peer-driven social model that emphasizes empowerment and community support, aiming to eliminate barriers to recovery for men and women. The Healing Place’s outpatient services offer flexible, accessible care for individuals who are unable to attend inpatient treatment or are transitioning from residential programs. Their program features intensive outpatient groups held 4 times a week over 6 to 8 weeks, emphasizing the application of recovery skills in daily life. Clients also benefit from one-on-one counseling and peer specialists who assist with employment, housing, and legal challenges. Additionally, The Healing Place provides free housing and meals for all participants actively engaged in outpatient services.
