Focus

This center treats substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Your treatment plan addresses each condition at once with personalized, compassionate care for comprehensive healing.

The Freedom Center, located in Buckeystown just outside Frederick, Maryland, provides residential treatment for individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Their facility combines affordability with personalization, helping clients start their path to freedom from addiction. Before admission, clients must have completed detox and withdrawal. Treatment plans may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), relapse prevention, and case management. Programs typically last 30 to 90 days, depending on individual needs, with 24/7 staff support. Following residential treatment, clients may step down to outpatient care through the Freedom Center. The Victorian-style house offers a large wraparound porch and spacious grounds. Clients can relax around the fire outside, connect in the indoor lounge areas, share a meal around the large dining table, or stay fit in the exercise area. Shared rooms balance accountability with personal privacy.
