Focus

This center treats substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Your treatment plan addresses each condition at once with personalized, compassionate care for comprehensive healing.

Simonds Recovery Centers treats a full spectrum of substance use disorders—from alcohol and opioids to stimulants and prescription drugs—offering medical detox and residential care to support every stage of recovery. Tucked away in peaceful Granada Hills, the center’s fully accredited campus feels like a welcomed retreat—clients can enjoy chef-prepared meals, relax in their game rooms, take a dip in the outdoor pool, and soak up California’s sunshine all year long. Starting by taking a person-centered approach— Simonds gets to know clients and their stories so they can build a custom plan just for them. They first help clients understand why they’ve struggled with addiction through 1-on-1, gentle therapy sessions. Next, therapists teach practical tools, such as coping exercises, creative art projects, time with therapy horses, and guided movement sessions to rebuild strength. Staff makes sure that these new habits become a part of daily life by practicing them in comfortable spaces and on group outings. Simonds Recovery Center provides private and shared, pet-friendly rooms—each equipped with its own TV—in a serene, home-like environment. Minutes from Santa Monica Beach, Hollywood landmarks and vibrant local shops, residents vote on Saturday adventures—from amusement parks and beach outings to wax museum visits, bowling nights or scenic Hollywood hikes, followed by shared meals. Simonds Recovery weaves together best-in-class outpatient partners, PHPs, IOPs, and sober living homes, so clients can transition seamlessly into environments where everyone understands their journey. Their commitment continues with weekly touchpoints—Saturday Alumni meetings in the facility and via Zoom, where alumni can connect with each other and current clients, as well as an in-house AA meeting every Tuesday night. Oftentimes, the same counselors who cheered clients on in treatment stand beside them in these programs as well.
