This residential center offers full-time care for youth referred by child welfare, the juvenile system, or private sources. Its mission is to guide young people toward safety, confidence, and independence through a structured, supportive program. program combines evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) with experiential learning, equine therapy, and team sports. Students attend an accredited on-site school and participate in weekly community outings to build confidence, social skills, and real-world coping strategies. With a focus on safety, structure, and personal growth, Sierra Sage helps each youth develop the tools needed for long-term recovery and successful transition back to family and community life. Sierra Sage Treatment Center offers a supportive, home-like environment where healing and growth are nurtured every day. Students enjoy healthy, family-style meals and take part in fun campus activities like sports, games, art, and community events. They can play volleyball, basketball, and softball. The center also provides high school classes, job training, and emotional support so youth can return home stronger and ready to succeed. Sierra Sage facilitates adventure outings at least once a week for students who demonstrate d consistent safe and stable behaviors. These excursions typically last half to a full day and are designed to promote social skills, teamwork, and healthy recreation in the community. Students participating in their NIAA sports teams travel regularly for away games and competitions, while those in the equine program attend horse shows and related events throughout the year. These structured outings support treatment goals by encouraging responsibility, confidence, and positive community engagement in real-world environments.
