About San Diego Teen Challenge

San Diego Teen Challenge is a 1 year faith-based program for men with alcohol and drug addiction struggles. The focus of the program is Christian on spiritual practices and disciplines to help men overcome their addictions. The first 3-4 months of the program are spent in the induction phase where men have time to acclimate before transitioning to a higher level of commitment. In the second phase of the program, men go more in their spiritual studies, attending daily classes, chapel services, and group discussions. Additional aspects of the program include visiting local churches, participating in community events, and completing supervised work activities.

Evidence-Based Context: According to SAMHSA's National Survey on Drug Use and Health (2023), approximately 48.7 million Americans aged 12 or older had a substance use disorder in the past year.
