Focus
This center treats substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Your treatment plan addresses each condition at once with personalized, compassionate care for comprehensive healing.
Tucked near the Grace Hudson Museum and just a short walk from downtown Ukiah, this outpatient center serves youth ages 16–25 and adults 25 and older who are experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges. With access to local bus routes and Highway 101, the location is ideal for both nearby residents and those traveling from surrounding regions. The center blends abstinence-based care with harm reduction strategies, meeting individuals at various stages of change. Treatment includes motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), living in balance, and the matrix relapse prevention model. These help participants gain self-awareness, manage cravings, and build healthier habits. Participants benefit from specialized groups that provide education not only on substance use harms but also on HIV, tuberculosis, needle safety, and life skills. Mendo SUDS also offers Seeking Safety, a trauma-informed therapy, along with crisis support and short-term aftercare to foster lasting stability and growth.
