Pyramid Erie Outpatient treats adults and teens with substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. Pyramid Healthcare seeks to make treatment affordable, accepting most private insurance and Medicaid, as well as medical assistance and county funding. Pyramid offers day treatment, meeting 5-6 hours per day, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), meeting 3-4 hours per day, and traditional outpatient treatment at this location. Clients can participate in evening group meetings and Saturday appointments and have the option of participating in teletherapy as well as in-person treatment. Walk-in drug and alcohol assessments are also available Monday-Friday from 9 AM - 1:30 PM, helping place clients in the appropriate level of care. Pyramid Erie Outpatient Treatment Center offers individual therapy using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as well as peer support from others who have gone through addiction. Clients engage in group therapy specific to their conditions, learning coping and relapse-prevention strategies, sharing their experience with others and learning from others in similar circumstances. Clients and their loved ones participate in family or couples counseling with the aim of increasing understanding and communication. Pyramid Erie offers specialized treatment for adolescents which includes groups tailored to the needs of teens, family therapy, and a student assistance program. The Center of Excellence provides specialized care for chronic opioid relapse, with Certified Recovery Specialists helping clients remain in treatment. Collaborating with patients, psychiatrists prescribe and manage medications for co-occurring mental health conditions. Pyramid offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults only implementing Suboxone, Revia, Vivitrol, and Sublocade to help clients with opiate and alcohol cravings. Centrally located near Little Italy, Pyramid Erie Outpatient Treatment Center provides access to residents throughout northwest Pennsylvania. For clients traveling via public transportation, the Amtrack station is less than a mile away and bus lines 1, 3, 12, 14, and 16 all stop just outside the building at State Street and W 24th Street. Students can access the center via a school bus route that drops off nearby. Clients driving to the center enjoy convenient access to I-79 via Highway 20, and to I-90 via Highway 19, with free parking available at the center.
