Focus

This center treats mental health conditions and co-occurring substance use. You receive collaborative, individualized treatment that addresses both issues for whole-person healing.

This outpatient facility is a part of a large network of psychiatric care services throughout the state of Minnesota. The location in Brooklyn Park specializes in outpatient programs for youth and adults ages 11+. The programs include intensive outpatient programs (IOP) and partial hospitalization programs (PHP) for children and adolescents and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for adults. Each client that comes to PrairieCare receives a diagnostic assessment to ensure they are being treated adequately. Each client can access psychiatric care, individual therapy and family therapy while in treatment. Clients learn skills like collaborative problem solving, self-regulation and symptom management. Clients can also access spiritual care through the programs by joining psychoeducational groups that broadly discuss a variety of views. The length of the program varies from 3-12 weeks, depending on the progress of the client.
