Pecan Haven is a residential treatment facility located in a secluded 35-acre pecan grove in northeast Louisiana. The facility first opened in 2015 and caters to adult men and women struggling with substance use. Upon intake, each client receives an assessment to determine their individual needs. Pecan Haven offers a residential treatment program lasting 30 to 90 days, with additional days added for detox. They also offer an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for ongoing care or as standalone recovery options for clients who cannot commit to a full-time program. The facility has certified medical staff who provide medically-managed detox to ease the discomfort of withdrawal and keep clients safe and comfortable. Daily life for clients at Pecan Haven includes 40 hours of clinical treatment each week, individual and group counseling, evidence-based treatments, and group activities. The facility has multiple cabins with 82 beds in total, a multipurpose center with a cafeteria, fitness center, and rooms for therapy, as well as recreational activities such as tennis, basketball, and beach volleyball. They provide daily meals and snacks. Staff are highly trained to disperse appropriate medications.
