This intensive outpatient program (IOP) treats substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns through an evidence-based and trauma-informed approach. NUWAY Duluth Counseling Center is a Joint Commission accredited program using therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), 12-Step facilitation, motivational interviewing, and prolonged exposure therapy in their treatment approach. Clients participate in 20 units of co-occurring therapy per week, have access to nutritious snacks during the day, can receive peer support services, and more. NUWAY Duluth Counseling Center provides gender-specific groups and is an LGBTQ+ safe space.
