Mountain Laurel Recovery Center is a 20,000 square foot modernized estate that resides on 25 acres near the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. This center provides 36 beds for men and women looking for short or long term inpatient residents. Mountain Laurel Recovery Center is located in Westfield, Pennsylvania and is a gender-specific, residential program that offers a 12-Step and holistic approach to treatment. Mountain Laurel Recovery Center focuses on treating alcohol and drug addictions, as well as the co-occurring mental health disorders associated with them. They also offer on-site detoxification for clients suffering from opiate, alcohol, and benzodiazepine dependence. Mountain Laurel Recovery Center uses evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) while also implementing aspects of 12-Step recovery. Clients receive individualized, group, and family therapy sessions. An individual session is required at minimum once a week but can also be on an as needed basis. Mountain Laurel Recovery Center has a full medical staff that consists of licensed therapists, nurses, counselors, and physicians. They have a ratio of 1 to 2 therapists per 12 clients. Mountain Laurel Recovery Center is accredited by the CARF. They accept all major insurances and provide a simple online verification form for easy access to the clients. Founded in 2015, Mountain Laurel Recovery Center has private and semi-private rooms available to clients. They do not charge an additional fee for private rooms. The accommodations are gender-specific. For a 30 day stay with detox, the general cost is $18,000. Without the detox, the 30 day stay is $15,000. There is a gym on-site and clients are encouraged and expected to exercise, as well as participate in yoga and meditation as part of the recovery process. 3 meals a day are provided featuring a variety of local cuisines and are prepared by an Executive Chef. Clients learn to make health choices for their bodies through nutrition and it is an important part of the holistic approach to recovery.
