Focus

This center treats substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Your treatment plan addresses each condition at once with personalized, compassionate care for comprehensive healing.

Life Center of Hillsville is part of the Acadia Healthcare network and is located in the small population town of Hillsville, Virginia. The treatment facility is on 100 acres of land, which includes a 1-mile walking trail. The staff consists of a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, and counseling staff who will monitor progress and adjust patients’ individualized care plan if necessary. They offer individual, family, and group therapy sessions, experiential activities like physical recreation, and incorporate different therapy approaches into treatment like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), 12-step meetings, motivational interviewing, and experiential art therapy. Life Center of Hillsville offers residential and partial hospitalization program (PHP) services. The services are ideal for adult men who are struggling with the use of substances like alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, opioids, and methamphetamine. For their residential program, the facility can provide care for individuals with co-occurring mental health concerns like bipolar disorder and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). They offer medication management for their residential services, but not for their PHP. The PHP consists of full-day programming multiple days a week and can include medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for patients who are struggling with opioid addictions. Due to the Virginia law and the nature of their programming, Life Center of Hillsville cannot admit individuals who meet any of the following criteria: Actively suicidal or homicidalOn dialysisExhibiting violent behavior or aggressionHave a diagnosis of schizophreniaRegistered as a sex offenderHave an active eating disorderExperiencing psychosis with hallucinations or delusions
