Focus

This center treats substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Your treatment plan addresses each condition at once with personalized, compassionate care for comprehensive healing.

Herndon Recovery Center, led by Dr. Satnam Atwal MD, treats adults and young adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Services include residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and medically monitored detox. The program accepts just six clients at a time, allowing for a more focused and personalized treatment experience. The center is CARF accredited and led by a board-certified psychiatrist in addiction medicine. Treatment uses evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and 12-step facilitation. Clients take part in individual, group, and family counseling, with integrated mental health support and education. Family involvement is encouraged throughout care to help build a stronger foundation for recovery. Clients live in a quiet, residential home in Fresno with five bedrooms compliant with accessibility standards under Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The home includes a backyard, enclosed patio, and on-site meals prepared for dietary needs. Smoking and vaping are allowed in designated areas, and staff are available 24/7. Transportation support and social services assistance are also offered.
