Focus

This center treats mental health conditions and co-occurring substance use. You receive collaborative, individualized treatment that addresses both issues for whole-person healing.

Set in the northern Orlando area, Harmony United Psychiatric Care serves children 5+, teens, adults, and couples. Their outpatient mental health clinic treats anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, impulse control and conduct disorders, schizophrenia and dissociative disorders, alcohol and drug addiction, eating disorders, sleep disorders, personality disorders, gender identity issues, and more. Harmony's care for individuals is available in person or through telehealth in 50-minute sessions, and it includes evidence-based individual counseling, family therapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation, and medication management. These therapies help people manage their emotions, change negative thinking, and feel more in control of their lives. The family component focuses on open communication, identifying family beliefs, family trauma, and healthy parenting. Their team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners, and therapists coordinate care for the individuals' needs. For couples, Harmony uses evidence-based therapies for about 10 to 12 weeks, including the Gottman Method, that build interpersonal communication skills. At the Altamonte Springs office, clients can attend in-person sessions Monday through Thursday from 7:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. or telehealth sessions any day of the week from 7:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Clients can schedule appointments and access their care notes during and after care through Harmony's online client portal or mobile app. There usually are appointments available either the same day or the next day. Harmony United Psychiatric Care operates additional locations in Florida that make in-person care easier to access from more cities.
