Elevations RTC, in Syracuse, Utah, is a residential treatment center for adolescents ages 13-18 with mental health challenges including trauma, depression, anxiety, behavioral problems, and substance use. They offer a comprehensive program that includes mental health therapy, medication management, academic programming, and recreational activities. A typical day includes health and fitness class, group therapy sessions, meditation, free time for clubs, and study time. Elevations RTC believes in the power of family support in a teen’s healing process. They provide several opportunities for families to be involved in the treatment process. They host an orientation for new parents, seminars, visits, family therapy conducted weekly, a parent support group, and parent weekends. Academic programming and recreational activities are a key element of Elevations RTC’s approach. There are 6 licensed teachers on staff who offer instruction on traditional subjects following a traditional school schedule. Students can earn 1.5 credits each quarter. The curriculum is accredited by the Utah Department of Education. Recreational activities are widely available and students participate in physical education class each day that allows them to play sports with their peers. Additionally, Elevations RTC regularly schedules offsite activities like hiking, biking, camping trips, and more.
