Focus

This center treats substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Your treatment plan addresses each condition at once with personalized, compassionate care for comprehensive healing.

The Dimock Center in the Boston metro provides comprehensive detox, residential, and outpatient care at their 39-bed facility for adults recovering from substance use disorders. This center uses individual, family, and group counseling facilitated by a team of masters level clinicians, licensed social workers, and psychiatrists. Dimock's offers a range of group therapy sessions focusing on relapse prevention, parenting, anger management, and dual diagnosis support, ensuring that clients receive holistic care tailored to their needs. Additionally, they administer medication-assisted withdrawal using protocols that include methadone, buprenorphine, clonidine, and benzodiazepine detoxification. The Dimock Center detox program takes a comprehensive, integrated approach to recovery. The multidisciplinary team—including a medical director, nurse manager, clinical supervisor, nursing staff, recovery specialists, and case managers—collaborate to help each patient experience a safe and respectful detoxification process. Dimock aims to serve 4,000 men and women annually, enhancing access to substance use disorder treatment and establishing vital links to long-term recovery support. Additionally, The Dimock Center offers a structured outpatient addiction program (SOAP), which is an intensive outpatient option (IOP) designed for clients in the early stages of recovery. This program operates 5 days a week, providing 3.5 hours of treatment per day over a period of 3 to 6 weeks. By integrating these services with medication assisted treatment (MAT) and mental health support, the Dimock Center ensures a comprehensive approach to outpatient addiction recovery, helping clients regain their well-being and engage fully with their recovery journey.
