Focus

This center treats substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Your treatment plan addresses each condition at once with personalized, compassionate care for comprehensive healing.

Destinations for Teens Woodland Hills is an intensive outpatient treatment center for adolescents (ages 13-18) that provides treatment for substance abuse and mental health conditions. Destinations focuses on Family Systems Therapy at the core of their care. Psychology Today states, “Family Systems Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that helps individuals resolve their problems in the context of the whole family. Each family member works together with the others to better understand their group dynamic and how their individual actions affect each other and the family unit as a whole.” Destinations applies this by providing full-day PHP to determine whether the client belongs to the mental health or dual diagnosis treatment track. Outpatient treatment is more flexible, allowing the client to receive help while being able to care out their routine. Clients will attend therapy sessions such as group, individual, and creative sessions, while parents are strongly encouraged to participate in the family sessions. Destinations integrates 12-Step facilitation along with holistic therapies that can include art therapy, music therapy, exercise and nutrition, mindfulness, and surf therapy. In addition to treatment, clients will receive 3 hours of educational classwork five days per week. After completing the treatment, the center will work with the client’s school in order to ensure a successful transition back. Located in Woodland Hills, California, Destinations is one of the premier teen treatment centers in the country. In a private setting, they offer on-site support, virtual classrooms, GED and college prep, life skills courses, and healthy nutrition meals. Destinations is accredited by the Joint Commission and accepts most private insurance.
