Focus

This center treats mental health conditions and co-occurring substance use. You receive collaborative, individualized treatment that addresses both issues for whole-person healing.

Crestwood’s Santa Barbara Crisis Residential Treatment Program offers a short-term, voluntary haven for adults aged 18–59 experiencing psychiatric crises. Located near the Pacific coast, the facility provides a warm, homelike environment designed to promote healing and recovery. Guests receive 24/7 support from a compassionate team, many of whom have lived experience, ensuring empathetic and personalized care. The program uses dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help guests manage emotions and reduce harmful behaviors. Each guest creates a Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) to build personal coping strategies. Additional support includes trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and vocational training through the Dreamcatchers Empowerment Network. This holistic approach empowers guests to take charge of their recovery and build confidence for life beyond treatment. The Santa Barbara Residential Crisis Center unique location offers therapeutic outdoor spaces, including gardens and patios, enhancing the recovery experience. The integration of peer-led support with comprehensive clinical services provides an approach to mental wellness that supports the whole person. The welcoming environment supports healing and personal growth during their stay.
