Focus

This center treats substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Your treatment plan addresses each condition at once with personalized, compassionate care for comprehensive healing.

The Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse of Northwest Louisiana (CADA) offers an outpatient substance abuse program at their Shreveport clinic. This program helps individuals develop early recovery skills, manage stress, identify personal triggers, and recognize unhelpful thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Services include individual counseling, substance use disorder education, and relapse prevention strategies, all delivered in a flexible, community-based setting. Established in 1958, CADA has been a longstanding resource in the Shreveport-Bossier area. Their CARF-accredited treatment centers accept admissions seven days a week and offer a full continuum of care. Specialized services are available for pregnant women and women with dependent children. In response to the need for immediate assistance, CADA also operates a 24/7 Mobile Crisis Response Team and a regional Crisis Outreach Team focused on individuals at risk for opioid use disorder and other addictions.
