About Blue Sky Behavioral Health

Blue Sky Behavioral Health provides an intense outpatient program as well as an upgraded therapy program. For those who require a break from home but do not require a complete residential stay, they provide supportive independent living with case management and life skills training. Blue Sky Behavioral Health helps men and women with alcohol and substance addictions as well as co-occurring mental illnesses. The Day Treatment requires clients to attend treatment Monday through Friday (PHP). Clients can get to and from therapy, shopping, and any other essential excursions using the offered transportation. Clients are drug tested and given a tailored plan upon admission. A life coach works with all clients and is accessible for emotional and practical help 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Life coaches help the clients with paying bills, looking for work, and learning new life skills. Medication management can be offered for those requiring dual diagnosis support. Treatment length can vary, but it typically lasts 30 days. Blue Sky Behavioral Health provides evidence-based therapeutic treatment. Clients are exposed to different therapies including 12-Step facilitation, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), group and individual therapy, motivational interviewing (MI), eye movement reprocessing and desensitization (EMDR), rational emotive behavior (REB), and exposure response prevention (ERP). Blue Sky Behavioral Health is accredited by CARF and accepts most forms of insurance.
Off-site housing is available at Blue Sky Behavioral Health's residential home and apartments. Clients sleep in semi-private or private rooms, with men and women living in separate flats. The homes are furnished with everything you need, including on-site laundry. Food is not included in the fee, therefore clients must go grocery shopping and prepare their own meals. The money for food is handed directly to the client or to the customer's life coach. Grocery shopping is done with roommates and under the guidance of a life coach who will also help with meal planning and healthy eating.

Evidence-Based Context: According to SAMHSA's National Survey on Drug Use and Health (2023), approximately 48.7 million Americans aged 12 or older had a substance use disorder in the past year. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) emphasizes that treatment programs combining behavioral therapy with medication-assisted approaches show the highest rates of sustained recovery. Facilities like Blue Sky Behavioral Health provide structured pathways to evidence-based care. Sources: SAMHSA NSDUH 2023, NIDA Principles of Drug Addiction Treatment (4th Ed.)

Understanding Your Treatment Options

Choosing the right treatment facility is one of the most important decisions in the recovery journey. Research published by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) shows that treatment duration, therapeutic approach, and aftercare planning are the three strongest predictors of long-term sobriety.

Blue Sky Behavioral Health offers 2 distinct levels of care, allowing patients to step through treatment intensities as they progress. This continuum-of-care model — moving from higher to lower intensity — is recommended by SAMHSA as the gold standard for addiction treatment.

The facility utilizes 9 evidence-based therapeutic modalities. According to NIDA research, combination therapy approaches that integrate behavioral interventions (such as 1-on-1 Counseling and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) with holistic support show significantly improved outcomes compared to single-modality programs.

Under the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, most commercial insurance plans are required to cover substance abuse treatment. Blue Sky Behavioral Health works with 24 insurance providers. Call (833) 567-5838 to verify your specific coverage and learn about out-of-pocket costs before admission.
