Focus

This center treats mental health conditions and co-occurring substance use. You receive collaborative, individualized treatment that addresses both issues for whole-person healing.

Bellewood & Brooklawn’s Bellewood Campus offers therapeutic care for children and teens ages 6 to 18 who have experienced trauma, emotional challenges, or difficult home situations. The center serves youth referred by the state of Kentucky and provides both short- and long-term support through its Private Child Care (PCC) and Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) programs. Each child receives personalized mental health care, including individual and group therapy, family involvement, and help with issues like aggression, impulse control, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and more. The center uses a proven Psycho-Educational Model to teach skills for managing behavior, building confidence, and preparing for life back home or in the community. Youth live in family-style cottages on a peaceful, wooded campus. Their days include therapy sessions, school at the on-site Jefferson County public school, family meetings, and skill-building activities. Staff provide constant support, helping each child feel safe, respected, and ready to grow.
