Focus

This center treats substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Your treatment plan addresses each condition at once with personalized, compassionate care for comprehensive healing.

Avenues Recovery Center at Prince Frederick is a 93-bed residential facility for drug and alcohol addiction treatment. Their newly remodeled building houses all services under one roof for a seamless recovery experience. A medical and clinical team remains on call 24/7 to meet every need with dignity and compassion. They offer medical detox, residential care, intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient services, with a primary focus on a 30–60 day outpatient rehab program. Treatment includes life skills, wellness, nutrition, social acceptance, financial responsibility, family values, individual counseling, group therapy, and 12-Step facilitation. Group therapy may also include art therapy, role playing, music therapy, educational seminars, fitness activities, and more. A typical day features three group sessions and recreational activities such as art therapy, role-playing, music therapy, educational seminars, fitness, and 12-Step discussions. Residential and IOP clients participate in yoga, meditation, and optional spiritual sessions. Avenues treats addiction as a chronic, progressive, relapsing disease that can be prevented with timely intervention. Their holistic approach addresses each client’s physical, mental, and emotional health. Graduates join an alumni program that offers ongoing engagement and connection to a recovery community. The Prince Frederick location provides local transportation, nightly 12-Step meetings, gourmet catered meals, local gym memberships, and evening and weekend activities.
