Ascend Healthcare-The Oaks is a residential program treating adolescents ages 12-17 with anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Their team of professionals employ evidence-based therapies in their treatment approach like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). They also use a variety of experiential and holistic therapies to treat mind, body, and soul. These therapies include animal therapy, ecotherapy,equine therapy, yoga, art therapy, and mindfulness. The program lasts 45-90 days and Ascend Healthcare provides academic support with 3 hours of schooling per day and academic coaches to help assist families choose a suitable education path. Ascend Healthcare-The Oaks is located in an upscale, homelike environment providing a safe and comfortable environment for adolescent clients. The house can take up to 6 clients at a time, with clients staying in shared rooms. There is a classroom onsite as well as sensory tools and 24-hour care. Outdoors clients have access to a pool and several lounge spaces. An onsite chef prepares meals each day and can cater to clients’ dietary needs. Ascend Healthcare-The Oaks is accredited by the Joint Commission and works with major insurance providers.
