Kallos House is part of the well-known Ascend healthcare Network, specializing in treatment for adolescents ages 12-17. Ascend’s Kallos House is a residential facility focused on helping teens with eating disorders and primary mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, and underlining trauma. Kallos House has a robust medical team with 24-hour nursing, psychiatric, and internal medicine staff, along with therapists who specialize in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), and eye movement therapy (EMDR). They also provide experiential mental health therapy to aid in emotional expression, symptom-relief, and the building of healthy life practices. Examples of these treatments can include art therapy, equine therapy, and gardening. In addition to therapy, Kallos provides a chef and dietitian who collaborates daily to provide nutritious meals and education to help adolescents stay on track with their academics while in the program.
