Focus

This center primarily treats substance use disorders, helping you stabilize, create relapse-prevention plans, and connect to compassionate support.

Just a 5 minute walk from the St Lawrence River, Andy’s House was founded and is still operated by people in long-term recovery as well as caring professionals. They offer residential treatment, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and aftercare. They have a 90-day residential program, 35-day residential program with 16-week IOP, or just 16-week IOP program that individuals can choose between. Andy’s House applies the Minnesota 12-Step model into their programming. Some of the therapies they offer include psychoeducational groups, cognitive behavioral groups, and problem solving groups. Andy’s House is also able to offer interpersonal processes approach coaching that aims to help clients better understand their social roles and relationship dynamics in an effort to promote change and healing. Andy’s House offers a 2-year aftercare program where clients stay connected with their support network and discuss their week in recovery. Family support is an open-ended service provided regardless of whether a client is still a part of the program or has graduated, and this entails weekly family support groups. Andy’s House has no more than 15 clients at any given time so that they can provide the individualized attention needed for success. The Andy’s House facility is an old Victorian mansion that has spacious living areas and is designed to be a loving home environment. There is outdoor space and a pool in the backyard. To create a well-rounded schedule for their clients, Andy’s House has a variety of holistic and alternative therapies like art therapy, cinema therapy, physical fitness, daily journaling, and yoga, as well as evidence-based therapies.
